Eleanor Edwards
Soprano
- Arts or sciences?
- Arts. I like the idea of sciences…
- What's your daytime job?
- Lawyering and looking after Percy, my lovely mini-Rex (house rabbit).
- When and where did you start singing?
- At the tender age of 8 with the Jacobean Singers, a peripatetic choir to be found loitering around Anglican churches of Sydney.
- What's your favourite choral piece of music?
- A cop-out perhaps, but quite impossible! Most heart-tugging Purcell, peppered with a little bit of Howells, garland-laying Pearsall, Monteverdi Vespers.
- What are your hobbies?
- Singing, seeing friends and especially my clever god-daughter, remembering my history degree.
- Wine, beer or spirits?
- Vin, particularly of the bubbly variety. Partial to fortified wines of my homeland.
- What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
- The things you have to know when you're a king…
