Play On! Shakespeare in song

Shakespeare’s words set to music, ranging from heart-rending laments to rollicking drinking songs
and from love-struck ballads to spellbinding witchcraft.
Special guests, TV and film actors Michael Maloney (Magpie Murders, The Crown) and Amanda Root (The Sixth Commandment, Persuasion),
will read excerpts from the poetry and plays of Shakespeare to complement the musical items and set them in context.
Featured composers include John Rutter, Bob Chilcott, Jaakko Mäntyjärvi and Matthew Harris.
All proceeds to St Mary's Church.
